sarah (melonbar92): Dialogue is one of my favourite things to write. I think it’s really important for each of your characters to have a distinct voice for dialogue to come through effectively. It should be realistic enough to be relatable but kind of fantastical in the sense that everything is crafted to fit into a bigger picture. I think that in real life we sometimes have too many conversations that just don’t matter. We dance around the topics we really care about and substitute it for unmemorable small talk. When I write, I want all the conversations to matter in some way or another.
SHOUT BOX…
For those who are still writing stories, or poetry, or whatever, keep it up. Whether or not you “suck,” or if anyone reads it, or if you kind of abandoned it, but returned, or it helps you to release out all the ideas flowing in your head, just keep it up. It’s not easy, and honestly, writing besides talking, is another way to share some magic into the lives of other people. No matter what, let a story be written. You’re the one that can help in writing a story that may change someone’s else life. C:
joan: Hmm.. well, what can I say about me…uhm.. I’m obviously a TVXQ / JYJ fan (*sigh*I’m still not used to thinking of them as separate groups…their break-up shattered my fandom world to pieces T.T) and Jaejoong is my bias. I love listening to different music genres, and I must admit that music has helped a lot in my whole writing process. Oh, and I’m also into graphics. Making posters is my second favorite past time next to ff writing. ^^
Hey guys, I’ll be interviewing fatsoko soon. If you’d like to send her a question or two, please leave a comment here or reblog this entry on tumblr. ^^
**This entry will be a bit long, and it’s more personal than the rest of the posts here (aside from perhaps my recommendations), so do not feel in debt to read this entry. Nonetheless, if you’d like to hear a bit of my story/my roots, I humbly invite you to read on. ^^;;v
I remember the day my sister’s friend lent her a copy of What I Did For Love by Val. The fic had been placed in a yellow manilla folder to keep it in good condition since it was being passed from one person to the next in their group of friends. My sister retreated to her room, where I found her crying later in the day, sobbing over the sad love story. Back then, neither of us knew what a fic was, though her friends were major HOT and Shinhwa fans (since we live on the east coast, many of them had made a trip to one of the Flushing concerts back in the day; I remember one also skipped school and went to a DC concert as well—very daring girl for a 7th grader :P) I remember hearing about a “bird” named Kangta and a hottie “gangster” named Minwoo, but I didn’t care to join the older girls in their fangirly ways—I also didn’t care to take a peek at the story that had brought my sister to tears. That is, I didn’t care yet. [Excerpt]
farorange: I’m currently a final year medical student who writes as a hobby and to unwind from the hectic school work. I love comedies and that’s why I mainly write about comedies. I feel that there are enough sad things happening in the world. I hope to reach out to the general audience and make people smile with my writings. My favourite fics are all rom-coms. keke. I love Big Bang, 2ne1 and SuJu. My favourite quote in life is: Don’t do onto others what you don’t want others to do onto you.
hellocatty: At heart I truly am a hopeFUL romantic so love stories with happy endings are always my guilty pleasure. I mean, even if I understand why certain characters can’t be together it still wrenches at my heart strings. But I think that’s what I love most, stories that make me feel something and make me go out of my mind so that I’m screaming at the screen.
